Violence of Reality

Challenge: Support for a campaign to raise awareness and provide better protection for children affected by domestic violence.

Our solution: Players of the serious game take on the role of a child who witnesses domestic violence in an apartment at night. Developed in cooperation with Edelman Deportivo, “Violence of Reality” lets users experience a child’s perspective at first hand. They are then prompted to sign UNICEF’s digital petition demanding political action against domestic violence. Together, the campaign and the game achieved more than 30 million interactions in social and traditional media and 2.6 times the required amount of signatures calling on the Swedish government to make violence against children a punishable offense.
